Rising Star Grand Prix Policy
Players earn Grand Prix (GP) points for playing in Rising Star Grand Prix events. The more events they play, the more points they earn. GP points are calculated per the Triangle Number Formula: P = n(n+1)/2, in which n is the number of Rising Star Grand Prix events they played in:

1 event = 1 point
2 events = 3 points
3 events = 6 points
4 events = 10 points
5 events = 15 points
6 events = 21 points
7 events = 28 points
8 events = 36 points
9 events = 45 points
10 events = 55 points
11 events = 66 points
12 events = 78 points

Players get bonus points for winning a prize in their section for each event they
play:

All Sections:
1st place = 12 points
2nd place = 9 points
3rd place = 6 points

Open Section 1st U2200 = 3 points
U1200 Section 1st U800 = 3 points

The top ten points earners at the end of the year win cash prizes as follows:
1st Place: $1000
2nd Place: $750
3rd Place: $500
4th Place: $250
5th Place: $100
6th Place: $100
7th Place: $100
8th Place: $100
9th Place: $50
10th Place: $50

If there is a tie, the prizes amounts for the tied positions will be combined and split equally among the tied players.
